To honor the legacy of J. Benjamin Younger, M.D., the ASRM Board of Directors has renamed the
Washington, D.C., office the J. Benjamin Younger Office of Public Affairs and has established a
public affairs fellowship in his name.
As a member of the Board and President of the Society, Dr. Younger was instrumental in the
decision to open the Washington office. As Executive Director, he realized the crucial role that
government and the media play in reproductive medicine, and he was a strong, involved leader for
the Washington office.

To further the activities of the office and to provide an important professional education opportunity,
the J. Benjamin Younger Public Affairs Fellowship is intended to allow students, trainees, and
professionals to work with ASRM Public Affairs staff and elected leaders in their advocacy efforts.
